Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass lessons

Our string teachers have a track record of success of teaching very young beginners as well as older students, and in preparing students to excel in middle and high school orchestras. Violin students can be as young as 5 years old, or younger with the teacher's approval. 6 or 7 is a great age to begin viola or cello, because of the larger instrument size. For students using the Suzuki method books, we also offer group violin classes to supplement the private lessons, which give violin students the opportunity to make violin friends, play together, and learn from each other. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals, so that the lesson is tailored to you as an individual. Our teachers all hold university degrees in music performance and have years of professional performance, orchestra, and teaching experience.
