Marco Torres Gonzalez, violin
Marco Torres holds a Master's Degree in Composition and Music Arrangement at Universidad Tito Puente. Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Marco began his musical journey at the age of ten, influenced by his family's musical tradition. His first music teacher was his mother, who gave him guitar lessons and instilled in him a deep love for music. Marco completed an Associate Degree in Music Performance with a specialization in violin at the Universidad de las Artes / Instituto Cultural de Aguascalientes in 2022, studying under teacher Gohar Zakaryan.
Marco has been enthusiastically teaching music since 2019. He began his teaching career in Mexico and later moved to Houston, where he has worked as a music instructor for violin and guitar at the Music Academy of Texas and the Allegro Pearland Academy of Music. Additionally, he has been the conductor of the Pearland Youth Prep Orchestra.
Marco was a member of the second violin section of the Aguascalientes Philharmonic Orchestra. He continues his professional development with private lessons with members of the Houston Symphony. For Marco, music is a gift that has profoundly changed his life, and he is passionate about sharing this gift with others.
