You may start lessons at any point during the year! You can also print the registration form HERE and bring it to your first lesson.
Tuition

Lessons are once per week. Tuition for the year is divided evenly so that the fee remains the same every month.

Payment Policies
Payment can be made in person by cash, check, or credit card. At the time of registration we will ask you to pay for the first month of lessons and the last month of lessons, and a one-time $25 registration fee.
Thereafter, payment must be made monthly by automated credit card charges or in person. Tuition is due on the 1st of every month. A $25 late fee will be added to all payments received after the 12th of each month. If students have not paid by the 20th of the month, the reserve will be applied to that month and their spot in the teacher's schedule will be forfeited starting the following month. Our schedule consists of 46 weeks of lessons during the school year; tuition is divided evenly so that monthly payments remain consistent regardless of the number of lessons held in a specific month.

Open Door Policy
We encourage active communication regarding student progress. Please feel free to visit with your child's teacher regarding progress, weekly assignments, and practice schedules. Parents are welcome to observe private lessons at any time.
Attendance Policies
Missed lesson make-ups are a courtesy of the teacher and are not guaranteed. Lessons may be eligible for make-up only: if the absence is called in at least 24 hours in advance or if you leave a voicemail or send an email before 10:00 AM on the day of the lesson, if the absence is due to illness or family emergency, and if the teacher has availability in their schedule. A make-up lesson must be scheduled withing 30 days of being incurred, or it will be forfeited, and a lesson can only be rescheduled once. Any lessons missed on scheduled holidays or during Humble ISD mid-season school breaks will not be rescheduled, regardless of the reason for the absence or if the absence is called in compliance with the Attendance Policy. Aditionally, there are no guaranteed make-ups for lessons missed due to severe weather.
All of our teachers are also professional performing musicians. Occasionally, they may miss a lesson due to another engagement. When this happens, a qualified substitute instructor may teach your lesson without notice. If a substitute is not available, the teacher will provide a make-up day in a timely manner.
Kingwood Music School will close in the event of inclement weather. Due to the teachers' schedules, there are no guaranteed make-ups for lessons missed due to severe weather.

Withdrawal Policies
If you choose to withdraw from lessons during the school year, you must provide written or emailed notice of your intention. A verbal notice does not constitute compliance; written notice is strictly required to cancel lessons and stop future payments. You must submit this notice before the 1st of your final month of attendance to apply your reserve to that month and cancel autopay transactions. Failure to provide this written notice will result in continuous tuition collection and responsibility for that month's fees.
Kingwood Music School is not responsible for, nor will it initiate, the withdrawal of a student unless the student fails to attend for 12 consecutive weeks. Furthermore, the school will not refund any tuition amounts due to a parent or student's failure to abide by these established policies.
