Beverly Mintz
The daughter of a classical pianist, Beverly began piano lessons at age 4 and violin at age 8. She was a member of Texas All-Region and All-State orchestras during high school. She received a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Sarah Lawrence College, where she was a member of the orchestra, chorus, and chamber choir.
After pursuing careers in the medical and advertising fields for over 20 years, Beverly returned to music in her 40s. Since that time she has studied classical and contemporary voice with top Houston coaches. She has taught voice, violin, viola, piano, and cello in Houston and Austin for the last two decades.
As a professional performer, Beverly was a soprano in the Grammy-award-winning Houston Chamber Choir, and has been a violinist in Central Texas Philharmonic (formerly Round Rock Orchestra) since its founding in 2008. She has been a staff singer at churches and synagogues in Houston, and performs as a free-lance violinist in both Austin and Houston. She has also been a violinist and vocalist in the Houston-based chamber trio Baroque con Brio since 2002.
