Victoria Macdonald
Victoria grew up in a musical household. Her mother, a trained pianist, had two pianos in the home so that Victoria and all of her siblings could practice. Victoria participated in many piano competitions and received superior ratings, while also studying the violin, harp, and clarinet. She went on to earn bachelor's and master's degrees from Brigham Young University.
After living all over the country and overseas, Victoria has settled in Houston where she is active in her church as a pianist, choir director, and chorister. As a committed piano instructor, her teaching philosophy is that the learning environment should be enjoyable and fun while also allowing for mistakes. She also encourages active parental participation. Her approach to teaching integrates repertoire, technical development, sight-reading, ear training, and theory.
