Brandon Temple
Brandon Temple studied guitar under instruction from Chase DeMaster before joining jazz guitar great Michael Wheeler's guitar studio at the prestigious Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, where he played in the jazz orchestra. In 2023, Brandon completed his Bachelor of Music and is currently completing a K-12 music certification in grad school with an eventual master’s degree in music pedagogy.
In addition to many years of studying jazz guitar, Brandon has also been carving a path in the Houston rock scene, including recording studio experience and playing alongside notable international artists such as Paranoid Void from Japan. Brandon is an experienced educator, and his unique multi-genre blend of guitar playing, with influences including Joe Pass, Yvette Young, and Toru Kitajima, allows for his teaching to be molded into his students' wants and desires. His pedagogy involves emphasis on technique, fundamental development, chord and scale discipline, music theory, and application through repertoire and method books.
Brandon brings a fervor to his instruction that cannot be replicated anywhere else, which translates to long-term retention and student development via goal setting, objective completion, and positive mental attitude.
