Sean Younge, drums

Sean's interest in music started in the fourth grade when he began playing trumpet in school band. After learning to read music, Sean taught himself to play on his mother's organ at home, and this was the first sign to him that music would be a big part of his life. During his early teens he became interested in rock music and started taking drum lessons, and soon had switched to percussion in school band.
Sean studied music at the University of Central Oklahoma and majored in percussion. It was during this time that he studied a wide variety of music from classical to jazz, and rounded out his knowledge of percussion and drum set styles. He has been performing with various music groups of all styles for over two decades, and has been teaching beginner to advanced students as well since 1992. Sean has taught at Kingwood Music School since 2000, and currently resides in Kingwood with his wife and two daughters.
