What can I expect in a class?
Our classes are filled with singing, rocking, bouncing, dancing, playing with rhythm instruments, and listening to music.  You'll hear a high-quality mix of classical, folk, and world music.  The teacher and parents sing and dance along with the kids in a warm and supportive environment, giving them the confidence to explore and find their own musical voice.

What are the benefits of early music education?
  • language development
  • gross motor skills and coordination
  • listening
  • goal setting
  • pattern recognition skills, important for math readiness
  • memorization
  • imagination
  • imitation
  • spatial skills
  • pitch and tempo
  • nature/social studies
  • self expression
  • lifelong social, emotional, and expressive outlet
  • stepping stone to playing a musical instrument
  • …and FUN!

My child has special needs.
We welcome all kids to our Kingwood Musikgarten classes. We believe that music is an important form of therapy and that the benefits of early exposure to music can be transformative.  Because our classes are focused on process rather than achievements, kids can participate and learn at any developmental stage.
