Josh Flores, violin
Josh Flores has been playing the violin since the age of 11. Throughout his musical journey, Josh has had the privilege of performing as an orchestra fellow at the Texas Music Festival & Round Top Music Institute. In 2026, Josh was selected for the National Orchestral Institute (NOI), where he spent four weeks at the University of Maryland and participated in performances at Carnegie Hall and the Washington National Cathedral. He is currently a violinist for the Moores School of Music Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Franz Anton Krager. Josh's performances have taken place in venues such as the Moores Opera House, Dudley Recital Hall, and Stude Concert Hall.
With a strong passion for music education, Josh currently teaches young violinists, helping them develop their love and skill for music. Along the way, he has studied under the guidance of many violin instructors, and is now currently studying with Dr. Mann-Wen Lo at the University of Houston, completing his Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance. Josh's dedication to his craft has led him to participate in masterclasses with renowned violin extraordinaires such as Dambi Um and Stefan Milenkovich. In his free time, he finds himself getting into baking, finding a new TV show to watch, or playing with his dog, Louie.
