Erika Stifter, voice

Picture
Erika Stifter graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a B.S. degree in vocal performance, and completed her M.M. in voice pedagogy and performance at Westminster Choir College in Princeton NJ. During her time at Roberts she sang the title role of Dido in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, the second stepsister in The Real Story of Cinderella, and performed the role of Madam Pernelle in Moliere's Tartuffe. She participated as a director and actor in numerous roles for Roberts Wesleyan College's annual one-act play festivals three years in a row, and she wrote, directed, and starred in a parody musical for the RWC 24-hour Show.

During her time at Westminster Choir College, she performed with the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra on numerous occasions as well as the New York Philharmonic Orchestra with the WCC Symphonic Choir. She appeared in scenes from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro as the Countess and sang the role of Rosalinde for WCC’s production of Die Fledermaus. In 2020 she prepared the role of Aline in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Sorcerer and, although the production was cancelled due to COVID-19, she is looking forward to performing the role
someday.

Erika also studied piano and composition in college, where she composed a number of pieces for piano that were performed in recitals at the college. She has been teaching and coaching voice, piano, and song-writing since 2014 and enjoys working with a wide variety of
skill levels, age groups, and genres.
