Anthony Andrade, cello and double bass

Born and raised in Conroe, TX, Anthony Andrade grew up surrounded by music, influenced early on by his father, a guitarist in their local church music ministry. At age 11, he began his formal music education through his middle school orchestra program—starting on cello and quickly immersing himself in other areas, including band and choir.
Today, Anthony’s primary instruments are the double bass and cello. A graduate of Sam Houston State University, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and has taught in public schools for over five years, working with students from diverse backgrounds. Anthony brings well-rounded expertise in both upper and lower string methods, with a solid command of foundational music skills and pedagogy across string instruments.
Performance highlights include playing with the Kingwood Pops Orchestra, Brazosport Symphony Orchestra, and the Brazosport Community Choir. He currently sings with the St. Raphael Chorus and the St. Michael Schola at St. Martha’s Catholic Church.
