A graduate of the Oberlin
Conservatory of Music with a
Masters Degree from the
University of Houston, Sarah
Oliver serves as the principal
harpist for the Baton Rouge
Symphony and the Corpus Christi
Symphony. She has also served
as principal harpist for the
Spartanburg Philharmonic and as
a guest for the North Carolina
Symphony, the Lansing Symphony,
the Hilton Head Symphony, the
Dearborn Symphony, and the
Livonia Symphony.
In addition to seasonal
performances, Sarah has spent
several summers as a harpist for
the Texas Music Festival, the
Eastern Music Festival, and the
Hot Springs Music Festival.

completing his Master of Music
Degree in double
Sarah is
also active as a soloist and
chamber musician. Sarah has
performed in concert halls,
churches, museums, and private
clubs around the Metropolitan
Detroit, Cleveland, and Central
Savannah River areas. In 2005,
Sarah earned first place in the
Midwest Harp Festival Solo
Competition and was a prize
winner in the American Harp
Society National Competition.
Sarah's past teachers have
included Yolanda Kondonassis,
Paula Page, Ruth Myers, and
Lucille Lawrence. Sarah serves
as a faculty member at Stephen
F. Austin University and Sam
Houston State University and
maintains a private harp studio
in Houston.
